Help wanted with determination of photos
A couple of photos on this site have got " - ? - " for a name.
If you happen to know what is captured on the corresponding picture, then please let us know on: mail us.
Explanation portfolio
The portfolio will be opened in a new browser.
Because we use a database (Coppermine), many new features are (now) available to you.
At the bottom of the page you can find the language selector, by clicking on the corresponding national flag you can select a different menu language. Description of/with photos stays in Dutch/English though.
Fileinformation
Along with our photographs we strive to give other information, photographic information like shuttertime and aperture, but we also provide information on the subject you selected. All flora and fauna photographs contain the Dutch, English and Scientific name.
Loc.
All photographs also contain the place where it was taken, this can be found at the "loc." entry.
Usually this description exists of exact location, city name, province/state and country, sometimes the exact location has been left out.
Date taken
Dates mentioned are :
year:month:day hour:min:sec
Home
At the top of the page it's displayed where in the database you are now.
For example, when you are watching the "Hoenders-Poultry" gallery, you'll see:
By pressing "home" , you'll go to the toplevel of the database.
Obviously this can be done also with the other levels displayed there.
Multiple pages
Some subjects have that many images available that their gallery exists of multiple pages.
In the lower right of the page some pagenumbers will appear, these pagenumbers can be clicked to go the appropriate gallery-page.

Searching
At the bottom of the menubar on the left you'll find the search option.
Tips for searching:
- All locations are entered in their native language.
- Some names contain special characters like "å", a regular "a" will not return any result.
- Country names are in English.
- If you want to search on multiple keywords, seperate the words by a space.
Favorites
It's possible to put your favorite pictures in your "natuurfoto.net favorites", this way you'll have your favorites of our images stored together for easy retrieval (stored in cookies).
To add a picture to you personal favorites, press:
"Add to favorites".
To go to your favorites later press "My favorites" in the left menubar.
Sorting
In the upper right corner of the thumbnailpages you can control the sort of the images.
By pressing "+" or "-" you can sort the pictures in different manners.
